DoseStreaks

Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of the DoseStreaks app and website. By using DoseStreaks you agree to them.

Last updated: 27 July 2026

DoseStreaks does not give medical advice. It is a tool for recording and remembering what you and your healthcare provider have already decided. Never start, stop or change a medicine because of something you saw in this app. In an emergency call 10177 (ambulance) or 112 from a mobile phone — do not rely on the app.

What DoseStreaks is

DoseStreaks helps you track chronic medication, log doses, record vitals and keep appointments. It records and reminds. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or decide anything about your treatment.

It is not a medical device and has not been registered as one with SAHPRA.

Reference information

The medicine formulary, health condition guides, medical aid information and emergency numbers are general reference material for South Africa. We work to keep them accurate, but they may be incomplete or out of date, and they are not a substitute for the leaflet in your medicine box or advice from your doctor, pharmacist or clinic.

Where information conflicts, your healthcare provider and the official product information are correct, not this app.

Your account

You can use DoseStreaks without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access to it.

You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian’s consent.

What you enter is yours

The information you put into DoseStreaks belongs to you. We claim no ownership over it, and we handle it as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export a report or delete everything at any time.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use DoseStreaks to give medical advice to anyone else
  • Try to access another person's account or data
  • Interfere with, overload or attempt to break the service
  • Copy, resell or redistribute the app or its content
  • Use it for anything unlawful

Reminders are best-effort

Dose reminders depend on your device, its battery and notification settings, and your network. We cannot guarantee that any particular reminder will arrive or arrive on time. Do not rely on DoseStreaks as the only safeguard for a critical medicine.

Availability

We aim to keep DoseStreaks running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

No warranty

DoseStreaks is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, and without limiting your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, we make no warranties about its accuracy, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of DoseStreaks, including any missed dose, missed reminder, or decision made on the basis of information in the app.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by our gross negligence, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

Ending your use

You can stop using DoseStreaks and delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use DoseStreaks after a change means you accept the updated terms.
